Job summary

Cybersecurity Jobs in Detroit is seeking an Application Security Analyst II to bolster our client's security program across the development lifecycle. You will perform security assessments on applications, APIs, and services, and coordinate testing such as SAST/DAST/SCA while aligning with Agile processes.

Responsibilities include risk validation, remediation guidance, threat modeling, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Four years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Three years IT experience, incl. one year in security or app dev.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC practices and Agile.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and remediation approaches.
• Experience with security testing approaches such as SAST/DAST/SCA.
• Ability to interpret findings and provide remediation guidance.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud/API technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management and risk tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments for apps, APIs, and integrations.
• Conduct or coordinate SAST/DAST/SCA testing.
• Analyze findings and work with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Participate in threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Document and maintain security requirements and guidance.
• Integrate security checks into source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance on secure coding practices.
• Track risks, remediation plans, and governance escalations.
• Support security tool evaluation and process improvement.
• Share actionable recommendations with technical teams.
• Participate in governance reviews and stay updated on threats.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats.
