Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC. is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer focused on applications to strengthen our cybersecurity posture across software and environments.

The role emphasizes securing applications, and contributing to the broader security program, while keeping pace with current industry trends. The candidate will work as part of a cybersecurity team, engage with development/architecture teams, and support secure design reviews and incident response activities in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, CE or related field with a cybersecurity focus.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity with depth in application/software security.
• Life sciences experience is a plus.
• Experience in regulated/validated environments is desired.
• Industry certs such as GWAPT, GWEB, OSWE, CSSLP, OSCP or CISSP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents per the incident response lifecycle.
• Remediate application vulnerabilities and guide engineering teams to prevent recurrence.
• Integrate security into the SDLC using SAST, DAST, and SCA in build/deploy pipelines.
• Conduct threat modeling and secure design reviews for new and existing apps.
• Represent security in architecture reviews and Change Advisory Board meetings.
• Assess and improve security of application hosting environments, including AWS workloads and containers.
• Coordinate external application penetration testing and manage findings through remediation.
• Engineer security solutions to mitigate risk and improve MSD’s security posture.
