Job summary

Autoliv United States in Michigan seeks an Application Senior Engineer to lead the development and validation of Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag products pre- and post-Start of Production. You will drive projects across cross-functional teams and interface with OEMs, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, CAD design, tolerancing, GD&T, CAE interpretation, and balancing manufacturability with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer to negotiate styling vs Autoliv standard design/processes.
• Collaborate with global team to validate and launch programs locally.
• Balance manufacturability with customer needs.
• Understand customer specifications and ensure design/validation accordingly.
• Drive the design to meet 1P1P expectations.
