Job summary

Centene is seeking a skilled software engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions across claims, authorization, and provider data using SQL Server, C#, and SSIS.

You will optimize ETL processes, build and tune stored procedures, and support the in-house letter production workflow while collaborating with data modelers, architects, and business analysts to deliver reliable data solutions for healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, performance tuning)
• 3+ years of C# development
• 3+ years of SSIS development
• Experience with EDI preferred
• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care data is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions across the data ecosystem
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects (tables, views, procedures) used for data staging and transformation
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application and related Word/PDF generation processes
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch
• Perform data analysis, testing, and production support; resolve data and performance issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation and articulate solutions to stakeholders
• Contribute to data mart development, EDW feeds, and report development
