Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a senior service leader for our machine tool spindle repair operations in Winston-Salem, NC. The role oversees the service facility and directs repair activities, ensuring high-quality results for customers with tight tolerances.

The position requires deep expertise in super precision rolling element bearings, rotating equipment, and related failure analysis, with strong leadership and communication skills to guide technicians and collaborate with Sales and the Midwest

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing engineering and its application in high-speed rotating equipment.
• Experience in machine tool service or machining/grinding is highly desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all functions of the service facility.
• Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians as direct reports.
• Coordinate with Midwest Service Center to balance workload and direct repairs to the most efficient facility.
• Support Sales with guidance and technical expertise to answer questions and provide cost and schedule estimates.
• Provide guidance on spindle failure causes and potential improvements.
• Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports and repair cost estimates for quotes.
• Schedule and assign spindle repairs to technicians based on experience and proficiency.
• Review Final Repair Reports to ensure standards and performance for customers.
