The Application Engineer, Bearings oversees the service facility, provides technical guidance on super precision rolling element bearing application in high speed rotating equipment, and works closely with Sales, Repair Technicians, and the company's Midwest Service Center to keep repairs moving efficiently and to standard.

This role oversees and directs all functions of the service facility, supervising and mentoring Repair Technicians as direct reports. The Application Engineer coordinates with the Midwest Service Center to balance workload and route repairs to whichever facility can complete the work most efficiently, and supports Sales with technical expertise, cost estimates, and schedule guidance. Day to day work includes providing guidance on spindle cause of failure and potential improvements, reviewing and finalizing spindle evaluation reports, and determining repair costs across both purchased components and repair labor to formulate quotes. The role also schedules and assigns spindle repairs to Repair Technicians based on their experience and proficiency, and reviews and evaluates Final Repair Reports and completed spindle repairs to confirm the work meets standards and will perform reliably for the customer.
