Job summary

Schneider Electric in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, configure, test, and deliver advanced Protection, Control & Automation solutions for substations, data centers, and distribution networks.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and cross‑functional teams, uphold Safety-First practices, and travel up to 40% domestically to meet customer needs. A strong background in protection schemes and IEC61850 is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s LV/MV power systems.
Advanced knowledge of power systems and protection schemes.
Protection relays and relay-based ATO schemes.
Testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
Experience and proficiency in Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
Experience executing complex relay-based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
