Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Application Engineer for Low Voltage Power Distribution to support LV power circuit breakers, MCBs, and related products. The role involves technical documentation, pre-sale interfaces, and post-sale technical support within the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products business.

The position is hybrid with locations in Grand Prairie, TX or Peachtree Corners, GA and may be remote for experienced internal candidates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience applying power circuit breakers in industrial and commercial power systems.
  • Experience / exposure in communications for building management systems.
  • Excellent verbal group presentation and written communications skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic).
  • Authorized to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical documentation, pre-sale technical support, and advanced post-sale support for Technical Support and Customer Service teams.
  • Act as the technical expert for the portfolio and assist product management with future road-mapping plans.
  • Interface with business developers, sales, integrators, and end users of power circuit breakers.
  • Lead pursuit teams to deliver compelling customer experiences through papers, presentations, and digital media.
  • Lead development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concepts, proposals, and reviews.

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer

to provide application engineering support for LVPower Circuit Breakers, Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) and related products.

This role will be hybrid based in Grand Prairie, TX or Peachtree Corners, GA or Possibly Remote for experienced internal candidates.
You will make an impact by:

This team member will be responsible for technical documentation, pre-sale technical support, and advanced post-sale support for the Technical Support and Customer Service teams. This position is based on the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products business. The candidate will also act as the technical expert for the portfolio and assist the product management team with future road-mapping plans. The candidate will heavily interface business developers, sales, integrators, and end users of power circuit breakers.

  • Utilizing advanced knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, industry best practices and competitive differentiation to lead pursuit teams that will prepare and deliver compelling customer experiences in support of selling efforts.
  • Provide pre-sale Interfacing with customers, business developers, application engineers, project managers regarding technical issues related to the application and integration of power circuit breakers in various types of power distribution equipment.
  • Engage with customers to gather business and technical requirements, assisting product management with portfolio development through new product specifications.
  • Utilizing advanced knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, industry best practices and competitive differentiation to lead pursuit teams that will prepare and deliver compelling customer experiences in support of selling efforts through white papers, presentations, and digital media.
  • Lead the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals and business and technology status reviews (e.g., Technical Review Boards, Management Review Boards).
  • Oversee and guide the client in the selection of appropriate solutions and suites of technology.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience applying power circuit breakers in industrial and commercial power systems.
  • Experience / exposure in communications for processes and building management systems
  • Excellent verbal group presentation and written communications skills.
  • Must be open to 30% travel, mostly domestic.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational skills that positively influence teams with a common understanding of successful account management principles.
  • Must have a proven record of presenting technology solutions in front of groups.
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • Experience leading teams of technical and business consultants from within, and outside of their formal organization.
  • Able to work hybrid environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution equipment systems.
  • Experience in the Datacenter Industry.
  • Experience as a Pre-Sales Consultant.
  • Professional licensure
  • IEEE, NEMA or associated society committee experience
  • Proven success and experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • Executive Level engagement.

The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
