Job summary

ams OSRAM in Novi, Michigan seeks an experienced electrical/computer engineer to lead and translate requirements for automotive LED products. You will interface between customer light experts and internal development teams, designing system reference designs that span digital electronics, hardware and software.

With 5+ years in optoelectronic systems, you will drive application development projects, perform market analysis, and train distribution and Field Application engineering, while

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years in optoelectronic components and systems.
• Experience with electronics, embedded systems, microcontrollers, software, optics, and thermal management.
• Proven ability to perform technical market analysis and define system specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to coordinate across NA and global locations.
• Strong project management, self-starter, problem solver, and results-driven.
• Willing to travel domestically and worldwide to customer sites and ams OSRAM locations.

Profile description:

• Minimum B.S, M.S, in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years’ experience with optoelectronic components and systems
• Experience with Electronics, embedded systems, microcontrollers, software, optics, and thermal management
• Practical experience with technical market analysis and technical system specification
• Excellent communication and organization, proactive communication is necessary across locations in NA and global
• Strong project management skills, Self-starter, able to solve complex problems, ability to work independently and driven for results
• Very strong customer orientation and willing to travel to customers and other ams OSRAM locations domestic and worldwide
