Job summary

County of DuPage is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join the Information Technology Department in Illinois. The role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and supporting enterprise applications within a Microsoft technology stack including VB/C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.

The position requires seven years of programming experience, a IT-related Bachelor's degree, and the ability to collaborate with teams and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
Seven (7) years of programming experience required.
Prefer knowledge of AI concepts and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Participates in a project team, supports and enhances existing systems and implements new applications.
Collaborates with application and technical teams and vendors on technical solutions.
Analyzes business environment, processes, systems, and organizational structure.
Receives and understands deliverables and requirements.
Writes required programming code for new or existing systems.
Ensures system test and stability before delivery.
Documents system and operational procedures.
Gathers business requirements from end users and assists in project planning and implementation.
Provides input on specifications and evaluation of new off-the-shelf applications.
