Job summary

The Circuit Court of Cook County, Office of the Chief Judge, is seeking an Applications Developer (Programmer II-CJ) for the Information Services Department in Chicago. You will participate in system requirements analysis, collaborate with in-house developers and vendors, and design and develop need-based software using .NET languages.

This exempt, full-time role requires a bachelor's degree in CS or related field and at least 3 years of C#/.NET experience.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of development experience using C# .NET.
• Proven experience as a .NET Application Developer.
• Strong knowledge of VB.NET, C#, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with REST/RPC APIs and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with in-house developers and vendors to meet business objectives.
• Design and develop need-based software programs.
• Produce clean, scalable code using .NET languages.
• Refactor and debug existing code; test and deploy applications.
• Develop interfaces, architectures, and client displays.
• Prepare training guides and provide end-user training.
• Maintain and upgrade existing applications; ensure performance and security.
