Description: As a Senior Application Developer (Level 3), you will be a key contributor in the design, development, and deployment of critical applications for a Government client. You will leverage your deep understanding of software development principles and your expertise in modern technologies, including Expertise in Specific CSP Services, Containerization and Orchestration, Serverless Architectures, Microservices Architecture, API Design and Development, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The Application Developer Senior Level 3 will provide support for tasks involving these skillsets for a Government client. You will be responsible for coordinating with Government security policies and working with various teams on assigned tasks. Prior work experience with the Federal Government is preferred, along with the preferred skills suggested below. You will play a vital role in building scalable, reliable, and secure applications in a cloud environment.

Application Developer - Senior Job Duties

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures for application deployments, leveraging best practices from various Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines for cloud-based applications.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet application requirements, considering factors like cost, performance, and security.

Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud solutions as needed.

Lead the migration of existing applications to cloud environments.

Collaborate closely with application development teams to understand their requirements and provide architectural guidance.

Ensure application designs align with cloud best practices and security standards.

Design and implement integration strategies between cloud-based applications and on-premise systems.

Optimize application performance and scalability within the cloud environment.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on cloud-native development practices.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret (S) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.

Experience Requirements: 10 years of recent relevant experience OR five years of which in Computer Science AND five years in a related field or 10 years in an engineering related discipline.

Education Requirements: Minimum bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution in information security, cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or closely related technical field; or the equivalent combination of experience and training related to task scope and objectives.

Desired Skills / Qualifications: Cloud Architect certification from any CSP. Information Assurance Technical (IAT) IAT-III, 441 -Network Operations Specialist

Location: Remote, local to Fort Meade, MD preferred

Status: Full time

Schedule: Day shift, MondayFriday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
