Job summary

Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks an Application Architect with a Secret clearance to shape enterprise architecture for a Washington, DC program. You will balance long-term strategy with pragmatic delivery across secure, cloud-enabled solutions and modernization efforts.

You will lead architecture governance, collaborate with ISSOs, program managers, and vendors, and promote DevSecOps practices while guiding teams through complex modernization

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with a Secret clearance.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture, software engineering, or enterprise modernization.
• Experience operating within SAFe or scaled Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience enabling DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee enterprise application architectures aligned with IT strategy and security requirements.
• Develop roadmaps and reference architectures for scalable, compliant applications.
• Lead architectural reviews and enforce standards across development teams.
• Collaborate with ISSOs, program managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Enable CI/CD automation and security validation through architecture and tooling.
• Guide modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native platforms and assess new technologies.
