Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Application Software Engineer (Staff / Senior Staff) in the United States. You will architect mission-critical operator software across multiple unmanned aerial systems, defining frameworks, interfaces, data pipelines, and operator experiences.

You will mentor engineers and shape long-term technical roadmaps in collaboration with leadership. You will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning avionics, autonomy, guidance and navigation, testing, and operator experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 10-15 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven senior technical leader for large-scale software systems.
• Experience defining architecture for mission-critical applications.
• Experience with avionics, autonomy, GNC, or related aerospace systems.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead cross-disciplinary initiatives.
• Expert-level in C, C#, Python or similar languages.
• Deep experience with UI/visualization frameworks (Qt, WPF, WinUI).
• Real-time data handling, multithreading, and distributed systems knowledge.
• DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, version control.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide application software architecture across multiple UAS platforms.
• Lead cross-functional technical initiatives spanning avionics, autonomy, guidance, navigation and operator experience.
• Establish design decisions for frameworks, interfaces, data pipelines, and operator software.
• Review and guide high-impact proposals, engineering changes, and cross-program integrations.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers, strengthening architectural thinking and leadership.
• Represent software engineering in customer meetings and design reviews.
• Drive enterprise standards for documentation, testing, and validation.
• Influence long-term technical roadmaps and investments across programs.
