Job summary

Sabel Systems is seeking an experienced Appian developer to design enterprise-grade solutions for DoD programs at the Beavercreek office in Ohio. You will translate complex business needs into scalable technical designs and deliver secure, compliant deployments that integrate with legacy systems and cloud platforms.

The role requires 6+ years of software development, with at least 3+ years of direct Appian experience, strong SQL, API integrations, ETL, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software development with at least 3+ years of Appian development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong SQL experience and API integrations using REST, SOAP, web services.
• Experience with ETL and data migrations; Agile/Scrum using Jira; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade Appian solutions addressing complex business processes.
• Gather and document requirements from DoD stakeholders and translate into technical designs.
• Develop API integrations to connect Appian with legacy systems and cloud platforms.
• Design/execute ETL processes and data migrations; ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries; support Appian data models with Oracle/SQL Server.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization; comply with FISMA and Section 508.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies; conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Provide technical demonstrations and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
