Job summary

Sabel Systems seeks an experienced Appian-focused software professional to design and implement enterprise-grade solutions for DoD programs in a Beavercreek, OH environment. You will translate stakeholder needs into concrete Appian designs, develop API integrations, and ensure data integrity across legacy and cloud systems.

The role requires strong SQL, ETL, and Agile/Scrum experience, plus the ability to mentor junior developers and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on software development experience with at least 3+ years of Appian platform development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong SQL experience and API integration skills (REST/SOAP) across enterprise systems

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade Appian solutions including process models, rules, data types, portals, and interfaces
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements from DoD stakeholders; translate into technical specs
• Develop and implement API integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC) to connect Appian with legacy and cloud services
• Design ETL processes and data migrations; ensure data integrity and compliance
• Develop SQL queries and database designs across Oracle and SQL Server
• Implement secure authentication/authorization and support ATO processes
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers; participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Provide technical demonstrations to clients and communicate complex solutions to diverse audiences
• Leverage Appian AI capabilities for intelligent automation (document processing, forms, generative AI)
