Vision Point Systems, Inc. (VPS) seeks a Senior Appian Developer to join our growing team.

This hands-on, client-facing role requires independently delivering complex Appian solutions while guiding other developers and ensuring delivery excellence. You will work directly with clients to translate business requirements into scalable Appian designs, lead a pod as needed, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior consultants.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience and 5+ years IT experience.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead certification.
• Strong experience with SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, Data Fabric, rules, and integrations.
• Experience in Agile delivery and working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Appian enterprise applications.

Vision Point Systems, Inc. (VPS) is seeking a Senior Appian Developer to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on technical and client‑facing position for someone who can independently deliver complex Appian solutions while providing technical guidance to other members of the development team.

You will work directly with clients to understand business challenges, translate requirements into effective technical solutions, and support applications throughout the development lifecycle. Depending on the engagement, you may also lead a small development team or pod, conduct design and code reviews, establish development patterns, and mentor less‑experienced consultants.

As Appian continues to expand its AI and automation capabilities, you will also have opportunities to work with emerging platform capabilities and help clients identify practical ways to incorporate AI into their business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using the Appian platform.
• Lead or provide technical direction to Appian development teams.
• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Translate business requirements into application designs and technical specifications.
• Develop Appian solutions using SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, Data Fabric, expression rules, integrations, AI, and related platform capabilities.
• Design scalable and reusable application components and development patterns.
• Conduct design and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, data, and performance issues across development and production environments.
• Design and implement integrations with databases, APIs, web services, identity providers, and other enterprise systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Support testing, deployment, production releases, and post‑production troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level Appian developers and reinforce development standards and best practices.
• Contribute reusable components, technical documentation, delivery accelerators, and lessons learned across projects.
• Explore opportunities to incorporate Appian AI, intelligent document processing, automation, and other emerging platform capabilities into client solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands‑on Appian application development experience and 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer certification.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, Data Fabric, expression rules, security, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of Appian development standards, reusable design, application security, performance, and scalability.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Experience developing and consuming REST and/or SOAP web services and integrating Appian with external enterprise systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application, data, integration, and performance issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and communicating technical concepts and design decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and functional team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Certified Lead Developer.
• Experience serving as a technical lead or development pod lead.
• Experience with Appian AI capabilities, intelligent document processing, or AI‑enabled workflow automation.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with authentication and identity technologies including SAML, OAuth, LDAP, or Active Directory.
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, and configuration management experience.
• Java development experience.
• Windows or Linux server administration experience.
• Understanding of UX and user‑centered application design.
• Automated or manual software testing experience.
• Experience with data management, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence.
• Active or previously held U.S. security clearance.
