Job summary

Groundswell is seeking a Senior Appian Developer Consultant to join our delivery teams and advise clients on architecture and integration. You will lead complex Appian-based solutions, guide design, development, and test activities, and mentor junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years with Appian, a Bachelor’s in CS/IS/SE, an active Appian Senior/Lead certification, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel 0-15% and DC Metro locality are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Appian solutions.
• 5+ years of related IT experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area.
• Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification.
• Strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology.
• Strong technical design and implementation and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts clearly, both verbally and written.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• Preference for candidates local to the DC Metro area.
• Must be willing to travel (0-15%) for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and related technologies.
• Support design, development, and test activities.
• Guide clients on architecture design and configuration management; DevSecOps and program initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are scalable and high-performing.
• Create and document implementation best practices and knowledge base articles.
• Provide thought leadership on process improvement.
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools; mentor resources.
