Job summary

Amazon ATG Security is seeking an Application Security Engineer to embed security into our entertainment platforms and partner with development teams to maintain a high security bar. You will drive threat modeling, code reviews, and security testing before production.

You will mentor security champions across engineering, embrace GenAI security challenges, and help shape secure designs across cloud, devices, retail, and games. A proven track record across multiple security domains is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years identifying security issues and mitigating risks.
• 4+ years scripting, programming, and security code review.
• Experience identifying vulnerabilities, attack patterns and remediation techniques.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 3+ years across at least 5 security domains: app security, security reviews, incident response, security infra, pentesting, cloud security, AI security, or IAM.

Responsibilities

• Provide durable, technical security guidance to mitigate identified risks.
• Review existing processes and suggest improvements for increased security and efficiency.
• Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches.
• Embrace GenAI and the security challenges it brings, to guide builders in leveraging GenAI securely.
• Participate in and support application security reviews that include threat modeling, code review, and security testing.
• Mentor and guide security champions embedded throughout the engineering team
