Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Lead Application Security Architect to design and oversee enterprise security architecture and related standards. The role directs staff, leads strategic initiatives, and embeds security across the SDLC, including GenAI applications.

The candidate will develop baselines, review architectures, and establish controls for authentication, encryption, and secure data handling while guiding API security strategies and governance across multiple tech stacks.

Qualifications

• Lead enterprise application security architecture and standards.
• Experience in secure software development and policy creation.
• Knowledge of multiple communications protocols and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise app security architecture frameworks and roadmaps.
• Develop secure baselines, patterns, and reusable components.
• Architect API security, OAuth/OIDC, and gateways with rate limiting.
• Lead GenAI security patterns including RAG and model integration.
• Monitor controls, resolve discrepancies, and enforce compliance.
• Lead staff and mentor juniors, coordinating cross-team efforts.
