Job summary

CompTech is seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to support the analysis, modification, implementation, testing, and ongoing operation of enterprise application systems at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This role requires an active Secret Clearance and 6+ years of programming experience, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of progressive experience in application programming, application development, and related disciplines.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, debugging, and supporting programming/application systems.
• Experience developing application specifications and translating user or operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience identifying application inputs, processing requirements, and output requirements.
• Active Secret Clearance required; certifications such as CISSP/CASP+ or Security X preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems to support organizational application requirements.
• Perform encoding, debugging, installation, configuration, and modification activities for application systems.
• Develop detailed application specifications based on technical, operational, and user requirements.
• Identify required inputs and define outputs to meet user needs.
• Coordinate testing of application systems to validate functionality and successful implementation.
• Develop and maintain development diagrams, flowcharts, and technical documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree or applicable equivalency of four additional years of relevant experience
