Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks an Adult Medical Specialties #1 & Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager to lead PA/NP teams across Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine. The role focuses on operations, staffing, staff development, and program leadership while delivering high-quality patient care.

The position is 40 hours per week with potential for flexible shifts, and involves collaborating with department leadership to optimize care models and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years APP clinical experience in specialty relevant to practice area (Dermatology, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology).
• Experience in leading teams or departments and coordinating cross-functional care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inpatient/outpatient APP teams including PA/NPs across designated services.
• Lead staffing, performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
• Monitor billing, productivity, and utilization to ensure financial integrity.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
• Promote education, CE/CME, and continuing professional development.
