Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level data solutions. You will build and optimize SQL Server objects (T-SQL) and SSIS packages, maintain an in-house letter system using C#, and support document generation workflows.

This role involves ETL, data analysis, and collaboration with data stewards and SMEs. You will also contribute to data mart and EDW feeds, participate in EDI X12 processes, and ensure production stability through testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field and 4–6 years of related experience.
• Equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments at this level.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL) and C# preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions.
• Develops T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views, and tables for data staging and transformation.
• Maintains in-house letter application using C# to produce Word documents and SSIS for PDF conversion.
• Develops and supports SSIS ETL packages and document workflows.
• Schedules, monitors, and troubleshoots jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Performs data analysis, testing, and production support; resolves data, performance, and letter-generation issues.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation, data flows, and support procedures.
• Communicates issues to stakeholders and designs/model solutions.
• Contributes to data mart development, EDI X12 processes, and EDW feeds.
