Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced API Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and manage API ecosystems using Apigee, with strong focus on security, governance, and performance. The role involves collaborating across business, security, and IT teams to deliver scalable API-led connectivity.

Qualifications

College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in API development, integration, and API management projects.
Strong understanding of API Security, API Governance, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
Experience handling production support, incident management, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support API solutions using Apigee, ensuring secure, scalable APIs.
Manage API lifecycle including design, security, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and governance.
Integrate enterprise apps, cloud platforms, and partner systems via API connections.
Build reusable proxies, shared flows, security policies, and integration components.
Work in Agile environment, gather requirements, and prepare technical solution specs.
Develop API management features including traffic, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, caching, and protection.
