Job summary

Capgemini seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks for APIs and enterprise applications in a US-based setting. The role combines software development, QA engineering, and automation testing within an Agile context.

The ideal candidate will automate RESTful and SOAP API tests, validate requests and responses, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Strong API testing knowledge for RESTful and SOAP services.
• Proven ability to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile development ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
• Create and execute automated tests for APIs and enterprise apps.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate requests, responses, headers, payloads, and error handling.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test strategies.
• Analyze results, report defects, and drive resolutions.
• Document tests, scenarios, and automation reports.
