Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for Distributed Networking, Content Delivery, and AI to serve as the technical proof engine behind our delivery and performance story.

You will build, benchmark, and demonstrate on the platform, then translate findings into compelling technical content for engineers, architects, and technical decision makers. Applicants should have 6+ years in technical marketing or related fields, plus a Bachelor's in a technical area.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical marketing, solutions or sales engineering, network engineering, cloud infrastructure, CDN, content delivery, networking, edge, AI infrastructure or adjacent technologies.
• Hands-on with the delivery stack: HTTP/2 and HTTP/3, QUIC, TLS, DNS, caching, routing and peering fundamentals, APIs, and tooling to measure them.
• Experience building demos, benchmarks, and reference architectures.
• Strong technical writing and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Akamai delivery and performance products hands-on on the platform with live configurations and demo environments.
• Designing reproducible benchmarking with defensible methodology to compare AI traffic performance.
• Building reference architectures and demos for modern applications and AI workloads.
• Owning the technical answer to Akamai's differentiating capabilities in a distributed network.
• Collaborating with engineering to deepen knowledge of network optimization, peering, route optimization, and post-quantum cryptography.
• Translating AI traffic findings into practical guidance for customers and field teams.
• Producing technical thought leadership, including blogs, benchmarks, and demos aligned with events.
• Partnering with product marketing to ground AI positioning in technical reality.
