Job summary

Novo Nordisk, a global leader in chronic disease care, is expanding its Emerging Technologies capability at its Petersburg, Virginia site. The Process Engineer will support onboarding new API manufacturing programs and provide a technical resource for process implementation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide capital projects, ensure GMP compliance, and contribute to safety and environmental goals while advancing the SMOL strategy and site growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry is required.
• Minimum eight years of relevant engineering, design and operations support experience.
• Knowledge of GMPs and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support engineering projects from concept through start-up.
• Develop user requirements, process design, equipment specs, and commissioning/qualification.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and development teams for transfer and scale-up, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Support EHS activities including PHAs and PSSRs.
• Develop and review engineering documents, standards, SOPs, and risk assessments.
