PayPal in Austin, Texas seeks a technical leader for the API Management platform to coordinate engineers, set direction, and improve core APIM components including governance, lifecycle, security and observability. The role drives architectural decisions and operational health across internal and external teams building PayPal APIs.

You will mentor engineers, own availability, participate in on-call, and help shape the technical roadmap while collaborating with Product, Security and Partner

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Java, Python, or an equivalent high-level programming language.
• Deep experience designing and operating APIs at scale: GraphQL, REST, gRPC, OAuth2/OIDC, versioning and deprecation.
• Experience with API management products or gateway platforms.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, and developer-facing platform products.
