Job summary

Orchard LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices in a hybrid environment supporting DoD/government programs. The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, secure software development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and will involve cloud-native deployments with containerization in a secure, high-assurance setting.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 2-5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience developing applications using Java and Python.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL development.
• Experience with Git, version control systems, and Agile software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
• Build and integrate backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise application components.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, data engineers, and UI/UX developers to implement end-to-end solutions.
• Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes within Agile environments.
• Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across distributed systems.
• Support cloud-native deployments, containerization, and secure software development practices.
