Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an API Developer III for a remote contract engagement in the United States. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and integrations using Azure services such as API Management, Logic Apps, and Application Gateway, with C# .NET API applications, to support a broad digital ecosystem.

You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, promote reusable API assets, ensure security and performance, and implement CI/CD and automated testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with C#.
• 4+ years of API development and system integration.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure integration services.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, and Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET for API development.
• Understanding of Azure APIM, Logic Apps, and Application Gateway.
• Experience with RESTful, SOAP, Streaming, and Bulk APIs with security best practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines; experience with Jira, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using Azure services including APIM, Logic Apps, Application Gateway, and C# .NET API applications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers and promote API design best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Plan and schedule API development work with Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation for APIs, integration workflows, and development standards.
• Ensure security, scalability, and compliance in partnership with information security and senior developers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployments. Implement CI/CD and automated testing to reduce regressions.
• Partner with QA to validate new development. Create UAT testing plans for end-to-end integrations.
• Build a reusable API library in collaboration with Applications and Data teams to reduce point-to-point solutions.
