Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Racine, Wisconsin, is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee Accounts Payable and Credit & Collections for the North American business. You will supervise staff, drive process improvements, and ensure SAP-based controls across the AR/AP functions.

Responsibilities include credit analysis, terms management, and collaboration with commercial teams to balance sales growth with risk mitigation in a dynamic transactional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a transactional environment.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor transactional staff of roughly seven people (four of which are direct reports).
• Drive continuous improvement of A/R and A/P processes and tools.
• Ensure compliance with documented accounting controls.
• Oversee new and existing customer credit limits and payment terms.
• Analyze creditworthiness through credit reports, applications, and financial statements.
• Minimize bad debt losses through effective credit limit and payment term management.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to facilitate sales growth while mitigating credit risk.
• Coordinate monthly closure of A/R and A/P modules in SAP.
• Prepare accurate and timely customer collection forecasts and analyses.
