BRG’s antitrust litigation experience includes analyzing claims of price fixing; examining the competitive effects of alleged actual or attempted monopolization, predatory pricing, anti-competitive tying or bundling, exclusionary practices, and abuse of a dominant position; and investigating other competition issues such as those related to alleged price discrimination. As an Economist with a keen interest in addressing real-world applied economics questions, including in the areas of antitrust and competition, you will work with some of the industry’s top experts. BRG is committed to developing Economists interested in becoming testifying experts through investments and professional development programs.

Position Details

This hybrid role is based out of major offices such as New York, DC, LA (Century City), or Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior practitioners in judicial proceedings to provide economic analyses on antitrust and competition matters.
• Manage workstreams, design complex economic and financial models to analyze data.
• Develop and present client deliverables, including expert reports and data analyses.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, model building, and regression analysis using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics with expertise in industrial organization, applied microeconomics, or econometrics.
• At least 4 years of experience in antitrust or competition economic consulting.
• Experience with econometric modeling techniques.
• Strong publication record and technical expertise.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and analytical software (e.g., SAS, Stata, R, MS SQL Server).
• Excellent communication, managerial, analytical, and leadership skills.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $300,000 per year.
