Job summary

Group 1001 seeks an Annuity Operations Lead to drive the tax reporting lifecycle for our client base. You will act as the SME for annuity tax reporting and work across Tax, Accounting Operations, Compliance, Legal, Product, and Technology to implement regulatory updates and enhance operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Extensive experience in annuity operations or tax reporting operations.
• Strong knowledge of IRS reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end execution of the client annuity tax reporting lifecycle with external partner.
• Review quarterly federal/state withholding reconciliation results and investigate discrepancies.
• Research variances and coordinate corrective processing with Accounting Operations.
• Provide oversight of tax-related processing and distribution coding.
• Coordinate corrective processing and payment disbursements for tax reporting issues.
• Assess impact of IRS/regulatory changes and operationalize them with compliance and tax.
• Define operational requirements for tax initiatives and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with BA, UAT, Technology and Law to support readiness and execution.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce manual effort.
