Job summary

Charles River Insourcing Solutions seeks an experienced Operations Manager to join the CRADL team in Boston, MA. You will oversee all aspects of the CRADL facilities, staff, and work with senior management to set short- and long-term goals for the CRADL organization.

Responsibilities include daily animal husbandry, personnel management, client communications, budget oversight, IACUC compliance, site audits and continuous improvement of operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 10 years in a laboratory animal facility or related environment with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Associates degree and 10 years in a laboratory animal facility with 5 years in management.
• Bachelors degree and 8 years in a laboratory animal facility, 5 years in management or supervision.
• AALAS LAT/LATG/CMAR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily husbandry and support assignments to meet standards and client expectations.
• Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate recruitment with HR.
• Communicate with clients, participate in meetings, and support sales through site capabilities tours.
• Lead AAALAC accreditation activities and ensure site/client readiness.
• Manage site budgets, forecasting, and financial impact of client plans.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety policies, and EH&S / animal welfare standards.
