Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer in the Natick, MA area to own the Angular-based front end of scalable web applications. You will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding best practices and collaborating with design and backend teams to translate complex requirements into robust user interfaces.

You will code, test, and optimize software while advocating for reusable components and modern frontend tooling.

Qualifications

5+ years of SPA development experience.
Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or related field).
Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
Experience with asynchronous programming and observables.
Experience with application state management strategies.
Strong HTML/CSS knowledge, responsive design, and UI frameworks.
Experience integrating with REST interfaces and SQL databases.
Ability to develop front-end UI following design specs.
Familiarity with frontend build tools and package managers.
Strong team player in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Ability to conduct peer reviews.
Ability to mentor other software engineers.
Ability to decompose requirements into actionable tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality, scalable Angular web applications.
Act as a subject matter expert for Angular development.
Code and test software based on specifications and designs.
Analyze and study complex system requirements.
Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain software development.
Use sound software engineering principles to ensure code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant.
Provide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process.
