Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures in Maine. The role includes preoperative evaluation, individualized anesthesia plans, intraoperative management, and postoperative care.

You will work closely with surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Active medical license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and assess anesthesia risks.
• Develop individualized anesthesia plans and administer anesthesia.
• Monitor intraoperative status and manage airway, vitals, and hemodynamics.
• Provide postoperative pain management and recovery planning.
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs/NPs/PAs, nurses and staff.
