Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required or within six months of accepting position.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and principles of asepsis.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular equipment and anatomy.
• Demonstrated ability to support the anesthesia team during perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing anesthesia supply room and maintains asepsis.
• Inspects and cleans anesthesia machines, carts, and supplies.
• Assembles invasive lines (peripheral, arterial, pulmonary) per policy.
• Restocks anesthesia machines and carts based on PAR levels.
• Prepares and sets up operating rooms for anesthesia and positions patients.
• Assists in monitoring equipment setup and basic blood tests (ACT).
• Monitors supply levels and communicates back orders to providers.
• Coordinates daily workflow of anesthesia technicians for OR coverage.
