Job summary

Lab49 in New York City is seeking an Android Team Lead to guide critical projects for financial clients. This hands-on leadership role combines architecture, coding when needed, and client interactions to deliver scalable mobile solutions focused on onboarding, account management, and money movement.

You will own technical direction, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and ensure delivery quality in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
• 4+ years leading Agile teams.
• Expert-level Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in consumer banking including account management and onboarding.
• Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative Android applications for Lab49 clients.
• Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements.
• Write code when it matters most and guide architectural decisions.
