Job summary

Crestron Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance camera and audio solutions across the UC product portfolio.

You will lead integration of cameras and audio devices with the Android-based UC platform, ensuring interoperability, reliability, and performance in modern conference rooms. The role requires deep Android, AOSP, and embedded Android experience, strong modular coding in C/C++/Java/Kotlin, and the ability to work in an agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Android development experience, including embedded Android and AOSP.
• Proficient in C/C++/Java/Kotlin and modular design.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle in a senior role.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous problems.
• Knowledge of project tools: JIRA/Confluence/Git/Gerrit/GitHub/SVN.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cross-domain efforts to create innovative UC feature development at framework and application levels in an agile environment.
• Develop a deep understanding of the existing system and architecture to support future development and troubleshooting.
• Integrate in-house or 3rd-party cameras and audio devices into UC Android platforms.
• Create and demonstrate proofs of concept to guide business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation of legacy projects while exploring new technologies.
