Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Android developer to design, build, and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin and the Android SDK. You will craft scalable architectures, implement modern UIs with Jetpack Compose, and ensure robust data handling with secure practices.

You will collaborate with backend teams through REST APIs, optimize performance, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience with MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Practical experience with dependency injection frameworks, particularly Dagger and Hilt.
• Experience with Room, SQLite, and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of the Android lifecycle, Activities, Fragments, Services, and lifecycle-aware components.
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit, MockK or Mockito, Espresso, and Robolectric.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with Android Profiler, LeakCanary, and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.
• Experience in banking or FinTech projects will be considered an advantage.
