Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions seeks an experienced Android Platform Engineer to port and bring up an Android 17 based IFE platform on next-gen hardware. You will adapt Android to the target hardware, integrate BSP, HAL, and vendor components, and stabilize builds for passenger, crew, and maintenance use.

You will work with hardware, middleware, and test teams to ensure a robust Android baseline and CTS/VTS level validation while addressing boot, kernel, and driver integration challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience porting Android OS to custom hardware and stabilizing builds.
• Ability to integrate BSPs, HALs and device drivers with vendor layers.
• Strong debugging across bootloaders, kernels and Android framework components.

Responsibilities

• Port and bring up Android 17 on target IFE hardware.
• Configure AOSP device/product/board/vendor layers for the platform.
• Establish boot flow from bootloader to home screen and green builds.
• Integrate vendor images, device trees and overlays for variants.
• Diagnose early/late boot and service startup issues; ensure platform stability.
