Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Android Mobile Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong Android development experience with Kotlin and Java, mobile test automation, and native app delivery.

You will design, develop, automate, and release high-quality Android applications, collaborate with product and design teams, and ensure performance and reliability across devices. This is a 12‑month contract with hybrid onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 5-7 years of professional experience with proven app delivery.
• 5+ years on Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Strong Core Java development experience.
• Experience creating automated tests with Appium for mobile applications.
• Designing and building native Android applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Core Java, RESTful web services, XML, and JSON.
• Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs.
• Ability to publish and support applications through release processes.

Work Arrangement & Hiring Process

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Charlotte, NC.
• Start timeline targeted for September or October.
• Interview process includes 1-2 video rounds and an in-person requirement.
• Glider ID verification will be required.
• Vendors may submit up to 3 candidates.
