Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Senior Android/Linux Firmware Developer to design and build firmware for Android-based video conferencing devices.

The role emphasizes embedded C/C++, Android internals, and Linux, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration across teams. You will contribute to secure, high-performance embedded applications, participate in architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in software development with embedded systems.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and firmware development.
• Experience with firmware development and debugging in embedded environments.
• Knowledge in network and security protocols, USB stack development, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and video encoding/decoding (H.264, H.265, SVC).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Understanding of Android internals and Linux is preferred.

The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
