Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Android Developer to own new features for the Robinhood Wallet Android app. You will craft reliable, secure solutions for crypto and tokenized stocks, define scalable mobile architectures, and uphold high-quality code.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, mentoring others and elevating engineering standards. This role is based in Toronto with in-person work 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java and strong Android SDK knowledge.
• Experience with MVVM architecture patterns and modern Android tooling.
• Strong collaboration and product-focused mindset; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Build intuitive, stable mobile experiences with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android APIs.
• Lead full lifecycle of features—from ideation to design, implementation, and release.
• Collaborate with product, backend, data scientists, and designers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Champion mobile development standards, code reviews, and maintainable architectures.
• Mentor peers to raise engineering standards and team collaboration.
