Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own the shared Android foundation across Unified Experience apps—Live, Marketplace, Instant Rips, Collections, and Topps. You’ll drive Kotlin & Jetpack Compose usage, a modular Gradle codebase, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver a cohesive collector journey.

You will lead identity and session flows, migrations, and end-to-end features, with focus on performance, test coverage, and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building consumer-facing Android applications at scale.
• Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android architecture patterns.
• Proven ability to ship reusable modules and internal libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship shared Android foundations and modules.
• Own unified identity, session, and entitlement flows across surfaces.
• Lead migrations and consolidations for live users without breaking flows.
• Own features end to end — API contracts, state and UI.
• Build deep linking, navigation, and cross-surface handoffs.
• Write tests: unit, UI, and instrumentation tests.
• Instrument releases with event tracking and feature flags.
• Own Android performance: startup, jank, and memory.
• Review PRs and coach engineers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and modularization.
• Mentor engineers earlier in their career.
