Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to design and implement user-focused features for Android apps. You will build high-performance code with a strong emphasis on user experience and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship scalable features.

The role requires 5+ years of Android development, strong Kotlin/Java skills, and expertise in MVVM/MVI patterns with Jetpack components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Android fundamentals.
• Experience with MVVM/MVI and modular app architecture.
• Proficiency with Jetpack components such as ViewModel and Room.
• Experience with Retrofit/OkHttp and modern Android networking patterns.
• Hands-on experience with modular architecture and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools like Profiler and LeakCanary.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new user-facing features for Android applications.
• Build stable, efficient, high-performance code with strong attention to UX.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship features at scale.
• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources, including real-time services.
• Write unit tests and improve robustness, reliability, and edge-case handling.
• Troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and improve app performance.
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions for long-term product direction.
• Work on performance optimization across memory, layout, rendering, and startup.
• Support modularization, codebase maintainability, and large-scale refactoring.
• Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and engineering quality standards.
