Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Software Engineer II (Android) to join our mobile team. This role is remote-first with periodic in-person gatherings at one of our office hubs, and candidates within a commutable distance are encouraged to apply.

You'll work closely with product managers and designers on Android systems, with opportunities to touch backend services. Our stack includes Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL, following MVVM and clean architecture.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience building Android apps; familiarity with mobile web and backend tech is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android features using Kotlin, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define specs and deliverables.
• Contribute to backend microservices when needed and ensure quality delivery.
• Own the development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
