Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Mobile, to drive Android platform delivery across product strategy and engineering best practices. You will work with UX/UI, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners to create fast, reliable experiences for customers on devices from phones to wearables.

You’ll participate in agile ceremonies, mentor junior engineers, review pull requests, and lead major components with senior engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building Android applications.
• At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy.
• Partner with UX/UI, QA, and Product Owners to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor junior to mid-level teammates.
• Lead delivery of major components with Architects.
• Review pull requests to uphold Kotlin idioms.
• Grow SME leadership and collaborate across disciplines.
