Job summary

Techgene Solutions in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and deliver medical-grade Android apps and SDKs using Kotlin and Java, with a strong focus on internationalization for multiple markets.

You will own end-to-end feature scope, implementation, and verification, ensuring accessibility and regulatory readiness while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality releases on time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Native Android development with Java or Kotlin
• Experience with wireless communications and mobile app technologies
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles and best practices
• Experience with Web services, Cloud, and API technologies
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and develop POC prototypes
• Excellent problem-solving and communication with cross-functional teams
• Experience with i18n and l10n in Android apps including resource management and locale formatting
• Experience in FCC & FDA-regulated industries is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java, Kotlin, and KMM.
• Collaborate with multiple tech and cross-functional groups to define and deploy new capabilities.
• Translate customer and market needs into secure mobile solutions.
• Build the next-generation mobile cloud-based platform for patient/device-centric apps.
• Scope work, break down modules, and estimate efforts with program management.
• Present concepts and solutions to customers, partners, and leadership.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Engage in daily triage meetings across US/MX time zones (PST/EST).
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance of mobile apps.
• Stay updated with industry trends to keep solutions current.
