Job summary

Reddit is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer in Consumer Engineering to build and scale native Android experiences for hundreds of millions of users using Kotlin.

You will lead projects through the full development lifecycle, collaborating with product, design, data science, ML, backend, and platform teams to deliver measurable user impact and improve architecture, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Professional experience building native Android apps with Kotlin and Android frameworks.
• Experience designing mobile systems and scalable features from APIs to UI.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve user-facing Android experiences that help people discover, consume, create, and engage with content and communities.
• Lead projects through the full development lifecycle, from product definition and technical design to implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement.
• Partner with product, design, data science, ML, backend, and platform teams to shape strategy, translate technical capabilities into intuitive experiences, and deliver measurable user impact.
• Improve Android architecture, performance, reliability, accessibility, developer workflows, and engineering standards while mentoring teammates and driving cross-functional technical initiatives.
